Munchkin
About the Munchkin
Named after the Munchkins from The Wizard of Oz due to their short legs. Short legs are caused by a natural genetic mutation (pseudoachondroplasia). Despite short legs, they can run and jump surprisingly well. Controversial breed — some registries refuse to recognize it. Their short legs are caused by the same gene as dachshunds and corgis. Three coat lengths: short, long, and medium. Very playful and outgoing personality.
