Bobtail (Japanese)
About the Bobtail (Japanese)
Known as the beckoning cat (Maneki-neko), a symbol of good fortune in Japan. Their bobbed tail is a natural mutation, each one unique like a fingerprint. One of the oldest breeds, depicted in Japanese art for over 1,000 years. The tricolor (mi-ke) pattern is considered the luckiest. Very active and vocal with a soft singing voice. Love water and will play in it. Unlike most breeds, they are frequently found in tricolor patterns.
