About the American Curl
Instantly recognized by ears that curl backward in a smooth arc, the result of a spontaneous 1981 California mutation. Kittens are born with straight ears that begin curling within days. The dominant gene produces curl degrees from slight to nearly 90 degrees. Available in shorthair and longhair in all colors and stays playful for life.
