About the Birman
Known as the Sacred Cat of Burma. Legend says they received their golden coloring from a temple priest. All Birmans have striking blue eyes and white gloves on all four paws. Nearly wiped out in WWII — only two cats survived in Europe. The current breed descends from those two. Their coat is less prone to matting than Persians. Quiet, docile cats that make excellent companions.
