About the Turkish Van
Known as the swimming cat — they have a documented love of water unique among domestic cats. Their distinctive pattern is all-white with colored markings only on the head and tail (Van pattern). Originated in the Lake Van region of eastern Turkey. Considered a national treasure in Turkey. Their cashmere-like coat is naturally water-resistant. One of the rarest breeds globally. Very active and athletic.
