Sphynx

About the Sphynx

Not truly hairless — they have a fine peach-fuzz coat. Originated from a natural genetic mutation in Toronto, 1966. Need regular bathing to remove skin oils that other cats shed through fur. Feel warm to the touch due to lack of insulating coat. Prone to sunburn and cold. Large ears and wrinkled skin give them an alien-like appearance. Surprisingly cuddly — they seek body heat from humans and other pets.
