About the Abyssinian
One of the oldest known breeds, resembling cats depicted in ancient Egyptian art. Their ticked coat (individual hairs banded with different colors) is unique and gives a wild appearance. Among the most intelligent cat breeds. Extremely active and curious — they will explore everything. Not lap cats but very social and people-oriented. One of the top 5 most popular breeds worldwide.
