Bengal
About the Bengal
Created by crossing Asian Leopard Cats with domestic cats. Their wild-looking rosette spots make them look like miniature leopards. First recognized as a breed in 1983. Extremely active and need lots of stimulation. One of the few cat breeds that loves water. Can be taught to walk on a leash and play fetch. Some states restrict ownership due to their wild ancestry. Their coat has a distinctive glitter effect in sunlight.
