British Shorthair

About the British Shorthair

The oldest English cat breed, descended from Roman street cats. Their round face and plush, dense coat give them a teddy bear appearance. The British Shorthair inspired the Cheshire Cat in Alice in Wonderland. The blue variant was so common they were once simply called British Blues. Low-maintenance coat requires minimal grooming. Not typically lap cats but form strong bonds with their families.
