Cornish Rex
About the Cornish Rex
First appeared in 1950 on a farm in Cornwall, England, as a natural mutation. Their coat has only the down layer (no guard hairs or awn hairs), making it incredibly soft like velvet or rabbit fur. Their marcel-wave coat pattern is unique. Very warm to the touch due to lack of insulating coat. Extremely active and playful. Love heights and will climb anything. One of the few breeds that can tolerate warm climates well.
