Russian Blue
About the Russian Blue
Believed to have originated in the port of Arkhangelsk, Russia. Their plush double coat is a distinctive silver-blue with each hair tipped in silver, creating a shimmering effect. One of the few naturally occurring breeds. Known as the Archangel Cat in Russia. They form deep bonds with one person but are reserved with strangers. Their green eyes develop slowly, starting yellow in kittens. Said to have been the cat of Russian czars.
